Cookies

Cookies stay simple here.

The diagnostic still works if someone says no to analytics.

No ad-tech. No marketing pixels. One optional analytics choice.

Essential cookies

examber_active_diagnostic_session

Keeps the current diagnostic session tied to this browser so the user can resume or restart cleanly when the app needs to protect session freshness. The diagnostic freshness window is currently 24 hours.

examber_learner

Keeps a browser-scoped save attached to this device after the learner chooses to save progress here, so saved return links and premium-access restoration still work. After optional account sign-in it identifies the linked account on this browser. It expires after 180 days.

examber_learner_auth_state

Used only when you start account sign-in to validate the provider callback and return you to the requested app page. Expires after 10 minutes and is cleared when the callback completes. It is not an analytics cookie.

examber_learner_auth_nonce

Used only when you start account sign-in to validate the provider callback and return you to the requested app page. Expires after 10 minutes and is cleared when the callback completes. It is not an analytics cookie.

examber_learner_auth_return

Used only when you start account sign-in to validate the provider callback and return you to the requested app page. Expires after 10 minutes and is cleared when the callback completes. It is not an analytics cookie.

Amazon Cognito and, if you choose it, Google handle sign-in on their own sites and may use their own authentication cookies. Their privacy and cookie notices apply on those sites.

Optional analytics cookies

examber_analytics_consent

Stores the user's analytics choice so the site remembers whether funnel measurement is allowed or off.

examber_visitor_id

Stores a pseudonymous visitor id used for internal funnel reports. The app should only set this cookie after the user allows analytics, and it expires after 365 days.
